FOWLR questions.

Hey guys I need help deciding how I want to approach this FOWLR I'll be starting. I plan on doing things without a stand. (Its going in the wall.) Which means I will be using hang on back filters and skimmer. Anyone have any advice as far as which filters to go for and which skimmer works? Its a 55gal and I plan on using 60 lbs of lr and ls.

I like the aquaC remora pro skimmer. It's efficient and quiet. As for filtration, I like using lr and powerheads so that outside filtration isn't necessary.

Agreed. LR will remove the need for a 'filter'. I still run an AC mini HOB on my reef to help oxygenate the water, as well as trap surface scum. but my LR is what's doing all the bio-filtration.
