Foxface went crazy! Killed my Anthias

Hello. My butterfly was missing chunks out of his tail, so I did a spy on the fish and my foxface went crazy. He was attacking my other fish. Before I could find out which fish was being the agressor, he had already killed my Lyretail anthias. :-( Why did he go crazy all of a sudden??

How long had they been together peacefully before this?

They were together peacefully until I added the puffer, tube worm, and star fish. Then he became aggressive. I had him since he was little, and have been enjoying watching him grow. But all of a sudden, he just snapped. I took him back to the fish store. They had all been in there together peacefully until about 2-3 weeks ago. Thanks for responding.
