glass divider

I have a special project I am doing for a heath care facility. I have to divide a tank and make 2 tanks out of 1. I was wondering if there is anything one can put on the divider glass so the fish on one side do not see the other side. One side of this tank is going to be fw and the other side salt.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

You could use some kind of opaque or translucent sheet of plastic, and put it in between two panels of glass.

It needs to seal very well if this is going to work. I would use some black or frosted glass or acrylic.

Wont the different temperatures of water affect each other?

As long as both sides have a reliable heat source then no they wont. Temps may fluctuate a tiny bit so don't skimp on the heating

If you keep tropical fish you could keep both sides at the same temp.

Make a double wall just in case one leaks so you can just siphon it and make repair without overhauling your tank. At the same time both are isolated from each other with different temp if you like. You can also put anything on that space in between to cover the transparency.

You could make a double divider for the tank and put a refugium for the salt tank in between. Assuming the tank is long enough that is.

My thoughts exactly. Would only need to be wide enough to fit a pump and your hand. You could make an enclosure out of egg crate to protect the pump.
