going with the 6x55

ive decided to go with the 6x55 ultra reef lights from

I think these will work pretty well for what i want right now. How should i go about getting it above my tank?

its hard to tell much from the pics on their site.

If you can attach a light weight chain to the ends you could supend it from the ceiling. If thats an option.

What size is your tank.. From personal experience "I have the exact same hood" You can order Legs for the lights for 30.00 plus s/h or the hanging brackets for the same price.. From what I understand is the legs only fit 15.5" wide aquariums so it would not work on the standard 55gal.. The hood seems to be a pretty nice one so far and pretty well built from what I can tell.. I have had one Actinic bulb burn out on me that was only a month old... For mounting my hood that I got from them I used 2x2's and made a frame around the top of the tank for temp purposes and set the hood on top of it.. Made it a PITA to get into the tank but also put alot of the light into the tank without much going onto the outside..
