Green Algea good or bad

Is green algea good or bad because my rock has a lot of green algea on it. Also I have a bunch of really small curly Q white things on the back. What are these things?

Hi, if you cal and alk are in check your rock will go from green to purple, mine went from emerald green to purple, if it comes off your rock by blowing it off with a turkey blaster then it's algae you don't want.

Well this is a shot of my tank, i'll have to look to see if i have pictures of my rock in the green stage.

Here is the green, then it go's to purple my cal is 450 and alk is 11.

What is that clear box on the top of your tank? Is that some type of fuge? It looks really nice.

Wow thats a sweet tank, cant help you with the green algae but the tank looks great to me . Kepp up the good work!
