So, this is a good thing and I have 3 green star polyp (GSP) colonies going in the main. 8)

One GSP colony has begun to spread up the overflow on the back wall and is starting to cover the flow slits on the overflow. Is there a good way to remove them without destroying the colony. I would like to frag more if possible as I have a 10g frag tank going.

I am thinking about trying a razor blade, but wondering if others have another suggestion.

Any ideas?

razor blade is what I would have suggested. It will be a clean scrape.

Thanks, I will make a horizontal cut and then scrape down to that line. My hope is to salvage the cuttings in my frag tank. I have no problem if they cover the rest of the overflow just as long as they do not clog it.

if there GSP how come they look white???
GSP grow on nice mats and should be easy to pull off after you get the corner started.

Just poor quality quick pic with PDA.

Definately GSP with nice purple mat. I will try cutting and scraping after the weekend. Hopefully I will get some nice frag material.

Thanks all!
