How can u tell if the royal gramma is a boy or girl? how can u tell if the firefish is boy or girl? how can u tell if scooter blenny is boy or girl?

Marine fish it's hard to tell 100% for sure, hense one reason why most are hard to breed in aquariums. In some species, the female is usually larger than the male, or the most dominate ( if kept in groups) is the female.

In most cases as well, since it is hard to tell sex, its best to keep only one of most species, due to same species same sex = lots of fighting.

Some fish it is easy as their adult markings are very different but with other fish male and female look identical. Clowns, the female will be the larger of the two. Wrasses the male will be more colorful (in most cases) the same goes with anthias.
