What causes green hair algea? I have it all over my live rock!!

Usually freshwater "top offs". I am trying to use pure bottled water now from the store. It seems to work great! I read about it somewhere on this forum.

Hair algae is caused by a combination of...Water, light, and nutrients. Remove one of the components and no more hair algae.

If you list some more tank details (i.e. water source, filtration, tank age, water parameters etc.) we might be able to pinpoint exactly what needs to be corrected.
