I have a Longnose Hawkfish in quarantine now and will soon put him the in the main tank. There are currently two small damsels (<2") in the display tank but I do not plan on keeping them once I full stock my display tank. One of the damsels is fairly aggressive towards the other (they are the same species). I'm wondering how my Hawkfish will fare in the main tank against these damsels. Should I take the aggressive damsel out or should I not even worry about it?

TIA

Neoglyphidodon melas. There are two of these damsels in the display tank currently. I got the tank second hand and the previous owner kept them in there to keep the tank alive.

If they are still juvenilles they should not pose too much of a problem. If they are on the larger side or adults, I would remove them no matter what you add. These guys will eventually become a very serious aggression problem.

Cheers
Steve
