Help - stain dripped in tank

I was touching up my hood and a drop of stain dripped in the tank.

This tank does not have any livestock in it yet, can I just drain it and refill it?

Yeah, make sure you thoroughly clean the tank and anything going back in, what exactly do you mean by stain? Check the tin or whatever it came in aswell. And cycle it for two weeks or so just to be sure. Honestly it depends if it was a drop of half a tin, i.e. A drop shold be okay but a half a tin may ruin the tank

It was a drop, I immediately grabbed a large carbon pad laying around and was able to get the black film out (as far as I can see).

My plan is to move it inside my house tonight and fill it back up with saltwater (running fresh now to test for leaks.

Ahh I got it. Yeah it should be just fine. Just make sure to clean it thoroughly.
