hmm

Ok I have had this tang for a while purchased him as a spot-cheek and he was gray with blue spots just on his face, now he is black with a little blue on the fins and his tail fin has a white strip right before the tail and the tail fin is starting to turn white. any Idea what type of tang this is. Sorry for the blur he does not stop moving...

Well, it's an Acanthurus sp, not sure of the exact species though.

I currently have one of those and when I bought it they called it at the store a Surgeon Tang..LoL..I have the scientific name around here some where..When I find it..I'll post it...But yes Reefrunner is correct it is a Acanthurus..I thing the last part starts with a B...

I have seen these two as 2" juveniles for like 8 bucks always listed as surgeon tang. Always seemed ugly, but yours is really nice.
