(HOT)magnum canister question

anybody out there have the (HOT)magnum canister filters I have 2 been running one for about 7 years the other about 3 years. About once an hour each wiil spray a blast of tiny bubbles into tank for about 10 sec. when my attnics run in the evening, but when 10,000k's are on it only happens about every 3 hours.

Sounds like you may be getting a little air leakage on the suction side of the filters. The HOT Magnum has an air evacuator tube in it that is designed to purge small amounts of air. Check the O rings where the suction plugs into the filter and the D ring that seals the top of the filter...they are difficult to seal sometimes. You can lightly grease the D ring with some Crisco if needed...that will usually seal it.
