How do feather dusters reproduce?

The reason I'm asking is that I have about 100 little calcerous tunnels on my LR all of a sudden. some look like they have a featherduster in them(red)
Could it be something else?
There super tiny and coiled like a snail.

i too got a piece of live rock a while ago and after redoing my aquascaping i took this rock that was buried in the sand and put it up a little more because it had some great coralline algea and i noticed a few tubes with feather duster like things coming out of them. i figured its either some like x-mas tree's or feather dusters.

It could be dusters. I used to have a small cluster of red dusters. I might even have a crappy pic here somewhere. I'll post it if I can find it.
