How long can I leave my lights off?

Trying to get rid of that green/brown algae that's starting to take over my sand. How long can my few basic corals go for without any light? Just have some Zoa's and Richordia

Not to sure, but I think 4 days of total blackout would not harm Zoos and Rixcs. Have you tried just cutting down on the hours per day? I've had a few patches of hair algae spurt out on me and I've been dosing them with Kalk. a little at a time and being very careful when plucking the longer hair algae.

No no no, yeah I mean hrs per day. Like, would curtting back from 7 hours a day to say 4 hours a day hurt the coral?

No they will be fine with that. I've had zoas on the under side of rocks that i didn't know about for who knows how long and they bounced back. Zoas and mushrooms are surprisingly durable.
