My dear wife brought home a new fish for my tank, and put the copper flavored water in along with the fish. With a "Fastest" kit, I get .05 mg/l copper in the tank now (though it has been sitting for 15 minutes or so -- may not be that bad).

With mushroom coral, rose anemone, African star, cleaner shrimp, etc., how much copper does it take to be dangerous? How do I get rid of it?

Thanks!

GAC will remove copper but I found the best way to remove copper is with Poly Pads. They turn blue to let you know the copper is being removed.

How much copper can the inverts take? What level is safe?

Nothing above NSW levels. For copper, the NSW level is .0001 ppm.

Hobbyist test kits can't measure that low.
