How much damage does nipping do to LPS?

I was just wondering how much actual damage is done to a coral from nipping by a juvenille Koran angel, or just in general. Especially on something like a flower pot and a bubble. Is it really bad or is it acceptable? TIA

IMO over time ti will kill the coral.

nipping will cause the polyps to retract and stress out the coral. Over time is will kill the animal. This is why there is such a thing as "compatability" and "reef safe" fish.

Also if even the smallest spot gets nipped and injured it could become irritated by sand or anything basically, and cause the injury to spread slowly killing the coral.
