How much GFO (High capacity)

I just got my high capacity GFO ordered in. I'm on a strict budget so I want to use as little as possible. How much should I actually use? I feel the BRS calculator may have you use to much, so they can sell more.

I just got my salifert phosphate test kit, so if you want me to test the phosphates, I can.

I go by the calculator personally... BRS isn't a place that would steer you wrong. Lowering phosphates too quickly is no bueno anyways, so they wouldn't want to overshoot the estimate... Just my 2¢.

It says on the bottle that you need to slowly add it and shouldn't add more than so much at once...I don't recall what that starting amount is.

I just did a little bit at first. Ill check in a week and see where I'm at.

I'm currently a bit over 0.1 phosphates right now (tested with salifert)
