My boyfriend recently moved in and has a 55 gallon saltwater tank. When we moved it the wall behind it was ruined from where the salt ate through the sheetrock. Any tips on how to keep this from happening to my wall? I thought about maybe getting some Plexiglas and putting it between the tank and the wall but didn't know if anyone had any better suggestions? Thanks!

Get a cover for the tank of some sort? I think plexiglass would work, but that's a big sheet to buy.

The tank has a glass lid on it and a cover over the filter already. Is this what your referring to or something different?

I may just try the Plexiglas thing. I was hoping to go a less tacky route, lol, but maybe it won't look all that bad??

I just put a paster behind my tank where I noticed it.
