how to transplant a zoo frag?

Hey Everyone --

I've got a frag of some zoos on a small piece of rock -- how best to get them spread to the larger/target rocks? is having them in contact (and stantionary) enough for them to spread?

Also, the one place I've tried this happened to be right next to where a brittle starfish could reach out and wrap an arm around the zoos -- of course, they closed up, but is the brittle star otherwise safe? I've got a bunch of 'em.

They will eventually spread to anything next to them. Sometimes takes awhile but it will spread.
