hurt feather duster

I had 2 feather dusters that were attached to each other. I tired to pull on off to separate them, but I didn't reach low enough, and pulled the tube off of him. I don't think he is able to retract anymore. I moved it down into my refugium to get it away from anything that may bring harm to it.

My question is: will it "heal" or grow back? How long does that take?

The duster can easily grow back the tube. As long as there is nothing to bother it, the water specs are good and it was undamaged otherwise; it should recover just fine.
