I have a plumbing question on a 55 gallon build

I've gotten everything ready with the exception of my plumbing. I'm running my overflow box on the left side of the tank I've created a small 20 gallon sump with the return pump on the right. Should I create two returns for the plumbing? Or would I be better off just running one return straight up and into the tank right above The return pump?

Water coming back from sump at one end and overflow the opposite would be best for your setup
