I HAVE NEVER HAD ALAGE SINCE DAY ONE! I HAVE BEEN IN TO SALTWATER FOR A YEAR NOW AND I HAVE NEVER HAD ALAGE. NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT! I HAVE 2 FISH A TRIGGER AND A CLOWN IN A 55 GALLON TANK. THEY GET ALONG GREAT LIKE BROTHERS. ALL WATER PH'S AND PPM ARE GREAT.
JUST NEVER HAD ALAGE. WHAT COULD HAVE CAUSE IT AND HAS ANY ONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM TO?

How much light is on the tank?

BTW, we have a script running on this sight which should pop up and let you know your typing in caps, did it not work?

Algae is not a sign of something terribly wrong. It sounds like you have Fish only, so cutting the lights would be an easy solution. Do you have LR, LS, corals, etc?

i have no live rock or live sand. is that a must in a salt water tank. i have bought these rocks from the local fish store. but they have blue paint on the rocks. should i use them. or should i buy live sand and live rock?
