It's similar to a true percula clown but has more black on it. I've never heard of it either but saw it when I went to my LFS.

Picked up a 25g at today aswell as a flower and sebae anemone. I'm going to keep them in my 75g then move them over after the move is a success and after I get a 4 bulb fixture to add on to my current fixture so in total have 6 bulbs over my reef. Still struggling with dinoflagellates so I'm hoping that dies after my move. Probably won't though....

Also, I got another HOB canister filter rated for 55-75g because my other canister filter leaked.

Fish are in uploading pictures as I speak. I added 7-10lbs of liverock total in addition to what I had before for a total of 25lbs of liverock. I've also ordered 13lbs of baserock from reefrocks today.
My current stocking for fish are
1 B&W Clown
1 Occelaris Clown (will switch for mechanic clown)
1 Blue damsel
3 Sgt Major damsels (will go when I trade in my clown in a week or 2)

What I would like to add
YWG
Midas Blenny

I know 5 fish is alot for a 25g but with 40lbs of rock and plenty filtration I think I can get away. If not then the blue damsel will go.

Pictures of my tank and the sebae and flower anemone in my 75g. They were closed up because the lights went off and I turned them back on for a picture.

Wait, if the mechanic clown is a Onyx Percula (same definition as Mechanic Clowns) then it will fight with the B&W Occelaris. They are two different species. You could substitute the Mechanic for a Mocha, Caramel, or Naked clownfish (all of those are uncommon but cool Occelaris variations that wouldn't fight with your B&W)

Thanks for the heads up. How about a picasso?

Edit: Nvm I remembered that black ice clowns are the products of a picasso and b&w clown

A Picasso is a percula. A black ice is an ocellaris (offspring of snowflake x black)

Which two clown varieties are you looking to "mix"? By mix, do you mean breed or just get along?

No experience with either of those situations. I've heard they can get along fine...but interspecies breeding; i'm just not sure.
