I'm about to get some new test kits during the group buy (thanks Carey!) And was wondering which brand gives the easiest and most accurate results so any comments would be appreciated

I really really like my salifert tests. I use API for ammonia and nitrite all the rest are salifert.

Also if you like gadgets they have the hanna digital meters. You just put a water sample in and it depending on the test you get an immediate result. Right now they only make the hanna for phosphates, alkalinity and calcium. I had all three meters but the calcium test was HORRIBLE!

So you recommend the alk and phosphate but stay away from the calcium then?

yep. it's a long process testing for calcium and it's not accurate. Hanna when I called to discuss it told me that i needed to use distilled water for the control sample, it was just a pain. lol The phosphate and alkalinity checkers are awesome!! And very accurate too
