Increasing my DSB

I have LS in my reef tank and I wanted to add more LS to build upwards to a 3-4 inch DSB. Any advice?

How long have you been reefing?

Rinse the new sand then use a 2in.dia. piece of pvc pipe as a funnel to pour the sand, this will help with the sand storm.

I am planning to use live sand (ls).

you dont need to the old sand will seed the new sand

How about rinsing? Worth while to use bleach, or just water? How about vinegar?

Do not use bleach, Fresh water or do what i do and use the water from my PWC's fill the pail 1/2 way with sand top off with water and stir dump dirty water and repeat. Bleach or vinegar will kill any thing living in the sand.

Should I rince regular store bought sand in tap water or would you recommend pwc water? Or could I also use vinegar?

You can rinse in tap water i'm cheap lol and hate to toss my old salt water so if i know i'm going to be setting up a tank i'll use the old water kinda like recycling
