I've got an opportunity to pick up a 55g Acrylic tank for about 75 bucks and it's in great shape. I want to turn it into a sump but didn't know if Acrylic is hard to cut. The only part I would have to cut would be to top because it's got holes cut out for the filters, lights, etc.

Anyone have any ideas? If it is cutable, then with what do I cut it with?

You can cut it with a fine tooth saw, or a sabre saw set at very low speed. If the blade is moving too fast, the plastic will melt and clog the blade.
