Hey every body!!

what are some of the tricks to keeping a salt water tank clean and algae free? have a lot of green slime/fuzz ....

thanks for any suggestions :D

:thanks:

Good water quality, frequent partial water changes, correct lighting.

Do not overfeed or overstock. Both cause excessive nitrates, and with bad lighting or too long of a light cycle bad algae will grow.

what kids of lights are best? i am wanting to buy some new ones at the moment! i would love something capable of growing plants and corals :D

Now that there is a debate that can go on forever. Ultimately this is answered somewhere in-between minimum requirements and your wallet. There are pros and cons to every type it's just choosing one that fits your budget for your system.
