Kent Lugol's Solution vs Medisca Inc. Lugol's solution?

Well ... i just tested my water for Iodine/Iodide and found out that i have little to no traces of either. Reading that it should be approx. .06mg/L of iodide i told my dad i was going to get some Lugol's Solution from the LFS. He looked at me funny and said that the pharmacy that he worked at sells it in huge bottles. So, i was wondering if it is the same solution as the ones sold at the LFS. Even if it isn't the same ... will i be able to use the one that my dad sells?

Just do weekly or biweekly PWC`s to get your iodine up to par. You dont have anything in your tank that just PWC`s wont take care of in your iodine.

I agree....PWCs are a great wat to keep the water nicely balanced!

I do both the PWS's and dosing of Kent Lugals with NO ill effects. I will back off of the dosing if I notice an increase of diatom alge.
