Ok so in my 55g
FOWLR , I have one large puffer , I want to ad some interest, right now all I have is two small hunks of
LR and I piece or two of lace rock full of sand for the puffer and crushed coral.
I was thinking of building a back wall out of lace rock and egg crate but I have a few questions.
One, (witch is a concern right now) how do I clean the tank, since I can put hermits or snails how do I keep the tank clean. Such as if my reef gets some hair on the
LR it gets eaten right up by any one of the various inverts..
B, is lace rock ok for this? Now I was going to pick up some
LR on Saturday and mix it with the lace rock. I figured something like for every 5 chunks of lace there would be 1 chunk of
LR
3rd, what about beneficial bacteria,? One day will this lace rock be similar to
LR? Yes Yes I know it is not the same, but will life grow on the lace rock and help not hurt.
