I am setting up a 90 gallon tank. I have a 175 Metal Halide pendant from previous tank. Will this be enough light? If not should I buy another pendant. Or would I be able to take the light out of the pendant and place it in a DIY canopy and add some sort of retrofit lighting? Thanks

You are going to need more light. That's not even 2wpg. Either another pendant or some pc in addition to the one you already have. You will need appx 3 to 5 wpg. That's 270 to 450 watts for a 90 gallon tank.If you will have to buy anyways I would lean towards the 5wpg for future expansion purposes.
