lighting question

Ok, I am adding more lights to what I already have. I am adding 2 more 72 inch VHO lights. They are 160 watts per bulb. How should I introduce them to the tank. One light at a time, a few hours a day??? Right now I have the glass tops off, so I am assuming I should put em back on for now.

for pc and vho lights put them on for a few hours a day. and slowly increase the time they are on.
