Lighting Timer suggestions

Just wondering what kind of timers you guys use for your lights. I just bought (and will be returning) a dual outlet timer from walmart, thinking each outlet could be set differently. I guess it turns on each outlet at the same time I want a timer with 2 outlets that can be set so 1 set of lights come on....then the other later. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Look into a Reefkeeper Lite controller. It can control your lights and also has a temp probe and can control your heater. Well worth the $100 price, especially when a good timer will run around $20.

I use the two separate timers like you do.

I also use two separate timers. A couple of cheap ones from Lowes mounted in the cabinet.

RK2's here they control the lights , heater and fans so I dont need to worry
I use to use timers but found that for what I anted there was just no substitue

this is what you want. I have the dual. it has daylight and a seperate actinic/nightime timer. you can also use it as a wavemaker.

RK Lites are worth every penny, I know I'll never go back to standard timers again.

Make sure they are rated for whatever wattage your lights are. Some cheap timers are only made to turn on/off a lamp.
