What type of coral are you looking to keep?
IMO you can keep just about all soft corals, shrooms, poylps, and zoos with a minimum of 3 to 4wpg. You could keep some shrooms with a little less and maybe some polyps.

A 4-65 watt hood would be perfect for most of corals except SPS and clams! Coralife and Current USA make a great PC hood!
