They vary so much who knows, mine was almost solid black when I bought him and now he varies from a dark red to light red

Relatively speaking I believe so. Not impossible to get but not as common as the black or red

Wait... he will eat eventually, remember what I said previously, its not uncommon for them to go stretches without eating

So just go with the silver slides? Don't change up to live food again?
