You can buy them from different sources online. You can ask for some from
people you know that have existing set ups. They can hitchhike in on things you
buy, such as liverock.

If you know anyone local that has an established saltwater tank ask them if you could have a cup of their sand. Just 1 cup from a few tanks will give you a very diverse set of 'bugs and worms'.

If you have any live rock in yoru tank you probably already have some you just dont know it.

Have you ever gone "night diving"? Night diving would be when you wait an hour or so after the lights in the tank go off. THen use a flashlight to look around your tank. I think you will find at night the tank has a new personality. Creatures you dont see during the day all of a sudden emerge and those you do see in the day either have totally different coloration or might be off behind the rocks hiding till the 'sun' comes out again.
