I see a CPR50 skimmer that is rated 300 gph with a 3/4" outlet. The owner added another 3/4" outlet. Would this give out 600 gph?

What do you guys think?

I can get the overflow for under 30 dollars shipped

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone, but I think two holes with one pump would equal the same GPH. Actually any amount of holes with one pump would equal the same GPH. It's the power of the pump that contributes to the GPH :)

Yes, the pump controls GPH. A second outlet would just reduce teh current coming from each return by 50%.

However a skimmer has very low flow anyways...300gph pump but its mixing in a ton of air, and it sits in the chamber a long time.

You can not count the gph from a skimmer as part of your total GPH.

You have me confused though...is this a CPR50 skimmer, or an overflow?? $30 is almost the price of the pump alone...this does not sound like a skimmer to me.
