After an unexplained ammonia spike yesterday, my 20 gallon crashed. I did a huge water change, added tons of carbon, even dosed prime but it was too late. Lost all my xenias, mushrooms, zoas, and polys. Also had a serpent star and black urchin that didn't make it. I did have two clowns that I was able to transfer to a small 2 1/2 gallon I had running with just some xenias and hermits in it. The small male doesn't look like he's going to make it but the larger female looks ok for now. This really sucks after having my tank up for two years. All my corals were looking great and fish were fine too. I just can't explain what happened. Always did 20% weekly water changes and tested regularly. Guess I will have to start from scratch again..

Really sorry to hear about the crash.
:(. Hopefully the little clown bounces back.

Did someone Spray some cleaning product near your tank?

The worst crash is the ones you don't have answers for. Hopefully you will be able to find the reason so it doesn't happen again.
