lr ?

my friend sold me a peice of rock that she didnt want. they kept it wet, and when i got it home i put in a bucket of sw i had made up. the water is testing 0 for ammonia, but i was just wondering how long it would take to see any ammonia from die-off, if there were to be any? few hours? 24 hours? TIA.

If it was coming out of an established system and you put it right back into SW then you shouldn't have much die-off at all.
