lunar simulation timer

Has anyone had any experience with the Solar lunar simulation timers? Or can anyone recommend alternative timers to use?

How about a simple timer that plugs into the wall outlet and then you plug whatever appliance you like into it.. they usually have a dial on the front where you set the on/off times.. should be real easy to get one and probably cost as little as $5.. Most people use them to turn a light on and off while they're away on vacation.

My wife and I were happy for twenty years. Then we met.

I use 4 timers (simple dial and peg model) and 4 different sets of lights to simulate the day/night, moon included, cycles. It is really easy and yes there is a second where the change is somewhat drastic, but after a couple of days the fish did not even react when the 10K PC came on. Works well and the cost was less than $20.
