MAG 7 help

my mag 7 is a great pump but it pumps to much and my overflow box cant supply the sump with enough water fast enough. I have a ball valve but am concerned it may be restricting my flow and the pump. Should I use a speed regulator for the pump to slow it down? Or not worry about it and make adjustments on the ball valve.

Go ahead and throttle it back using the ball valve on the return pipe. This should not hurt the pump at all.

You wont have to throttle it back much I suspect.
