Magnesium

Just tested my magnesium this morning and it was at 1200. Should I doese magnesium? I have the brs magnesium mix but have not used it. Just trying to see if this is even worth doing. I've done some research and found that not many people dose magnesium.

Mg is part of what helps Ca to stay stable.
Many Mg depleted systems will not hold proper Ca.
If you keep corals(can't imagine why you tested mg if you didn't) I would dose the mg and then test your ca...
I don't use the BRS stuff so have no advice on it.

I have the elos CA kit it always read 510 so I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly anyways. I currently have a Torch, Duncan, acan, candy cane, frogspawn and a hammer

1200 is not bad. Mine is at around 1400. I think it's recommended 1300-1450.

Whenever you dose calcium it will pull down magnesium together with alk and vice vesa. You can dose mag to 1300 and let your calcium be at 420.

Your fine with both readings. The CAL will come down on its own, no reason to mess with it.
