I was considering a majestic angel, but read conflicting reports on their difficulty to keep. Has anyone had experience with this species that they can share with me? TIA.

Like any Pomacanthus Angel, they need a large system. I know the etailers say 100 gallon, but if you plan on keeping the fish for awhile, I would place is in at least 150 gallon system. Make sure it is the only large angel in the tank and make sure it gets a good angel food preparation that includes sponges and enough filtration (rock and a kick butt skimmer) you should do fine.
I don't have one, but I do have a P Maculosus, she is as tough as nails.
I do know someone with this angel, he has had her for 3 years in a 300 gallon system with no issues.
