So I understand that SPS need ridiculously clean water while LPS generally prefer a little more nutrient rich water column.

Where should I shoot for with nutrients in a mixed reef then to maximize the growth of everything?

I plan on having a hammer, torch, frogspawn, duncan, and acan for my LPS and a lot of birdsnest, some montipora, and a few acros as well for my sps.

I have my mixed reef down to .02 phosphates. No issues aside from my alkalinity, but that isn't your question. Aim to zero out phosphate and nitrate and you'll be fine.
