Mangros, are they good?

I'm not sure about the spelling.. But are they good? Mangroes???

They are suppose to absord nitrates??? N ??? Dont remember what else...

mangroves, yeah its one of those odd plants that grows in saltwater, not quite sure what they do for nutrient export though
 
they are neat to look at, growing out of the refugium, but they don't export nutrients enough to make them worth while. you would need many large plants to match the nutrient export volume of a refugium full of chaetomorpha or caulerpa.
