Alright what I am wondering is how large these are. They are threaded like a household light bulb but how large is the opening for the bulb to go into. I got my 175w today and was surprized at the size of the socket. this is the light I got http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4361025295&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT just want to make sure that when i replace the bulb i don't have to search for an obscure bulb that you will never find.

EDIT: I cant figure out how to make the link work so you will have to copy and paste if you want to look.

A mogul style socket is about 2 times the size of a regular incedescent bulb socket. All MH bulbs except HQI doubled ended bulbs require mogul type sockets. You will have no problem finding replacement bulbs

Looks like a standard mogul socket. A 175 watt MH bulb that can be fired by a magnetic ballast should work fine.
