Moving Question

So I'll be moving soon. Two days after I move I will be leaving town for 3 weeks. My questions are:

I have a 29g tank with one fish and 50lbs of live sand. Would it be alright to put all the sand in a bucket of water and let it sit for 3 weeks? I won't have time to set the tank up before I leave. (I have a 75g tank that will get all my attention)

You wil most likely want to let it dry out otherwise you will have alot of waste on the sand and dieoff. After you set your tank back up just put a couple cups of LS in there and that will start it up again.
