Just guessing, but water current in the tank may be pushing that ear under, or it's getting a little too much light and it is minimizing it's surface area, to reduce its exposure. Normally, shrooms will swell up when they want more light to increase their surface area, and shrink down when they want less.

If it doesn't like where it is, it will release itself and try to find another location in your tank. Still looks fine imo.
