I use the Aquarium Pharmaceuticals test. It is a bit of a long process due to adding drop by drop and shakcing after each drop. Then again it seems to give a precise measurement. I have not used any other brands to compare it to. HTH

For calcium, only use a salifert or seachem they are the most acurate. The salifert is easier to use.

With the AP Calcium test kit I put in 10 drops from bottle 1, cap and shake. Put in 10 drops of bottle 2, cap and shake. Put in 5 more drops of bottle 2, cap and shake. Now I do the one drop at a time. It is much quicker when you are starting from 300 ppm and the test comes out the same. I haven't tried just putting in 15 drops of bottle 2 at once but I suspect it would work fine also.
