New to reef marine fish and coral keeping

Im a newbie. Can I use my Rena external box filter with live rock and water polishing media with my nano reef 54l tank. I bought this complete setup 3 weeks ago has large pink coral 2 clown 2 hermit 2 turbo snails 1 sand starfish and a fish I haven't identified yet any suggestions? Does live rock need light?

That is going to be alot water circulation almost 24 times a hour turnover on your tank but Im a firm believer that you cant really filter your water to much

Just have some brown hairy algae on live rock and some brown spots on glass I have 1 kg live rock and new phosphate remover as my filter media anything else I should be doing
