nitrite problem

my 20gl have been running for awile. and i just put some more lr in it and i had a little ammonia spike but now my nitrites are of the wall?

the LR must have had some die off causing a mini cylce... Do water changes if you have fish in there to help keep it in check.
LR should always be cured when adding to an established tank...

Must not have been. thats the only thing that can explain it unless something died in the tank.

How much LR did you add... It is possible to get some die off cured lr if it is out of the water too long.

nothing died but i bought it it was from premium aquatics fiji i dont think i like it im going to buy some from liverocks.com

You had die off of the cured LR.... In a small tank it would not take much to have a minicycle.
